A man robbed a Brooklyn Park 7-Eleven early Saturday morning, police said.

According to a police press release, Anne Arundel County police officers responded at 5:05 a.m. Saturday to the 7-Eleven store located in the 4000 block of Ritchie Highway in Brooklyn Park for a reported armed robbery.

Officers spoke with store employees who said that a man entered the 7-Eleven, pulled a handgun and demanded money. The man took an undisclosed amount of cash from the register and fled the store toward Belle Grove Road.

Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the man, police said.
