Police: Man in White Van Tried to Abduct Woman

The woman was not injured and was able to run away.

 

Police are looking for a man who drives a white work van in connection with an attempted abduction that took place Monday night in Glen Burnie.

According to Anne Arundel County police, the incident occurred at about 9:42 p.m. in the area of 5th and Delmar avenues in Glen Burnie. A woman said that a man "accosted her on the side of the road" before trying to pull her into his van, according to a police press release.

The woman was able to get away and was not injured, police said.

The suspect is described by police as a Hispanic male, about 30 years old with short, black hair and paint on his arm; and the suspect's vehicle is a white work van with a ladder rack (holding a ladder), tinted windows and a sliding side door.

Although the area was searched after the incident, police were unable to locate the suspect.
