Police: Man Dragged Girlfriend Through Bonfire

Man allegedly drags girlfriend through a bonfire, according to police.

Anne Arundel County police have arrested a man who allegedly dragged his girlfriend through a bonfire during a domestic dispute in Brooklyn Park.

At 12:30 p.m. Monday, an unidentified informant told police that a woman in Brooklyn Park was in danger from an earlier confrontation with her boyfriend.

Officers responded to the 5900 block of Ritchie Highway, where the woman was staying, and she told police that earlier Monday morning she was violently assaulted by her boyfriend, Louis Vaden, 29, who was living with her.

Police said Vaden dragged the victim through a bonfire after a verbal altercation, leaving her with non-life threatening injuries. An ambulance transported the victim to University of Maryland Shock Trauma in stable condition.

Officers later arrested Vaden on the 6000 block of Ritchie Highway, and charged him with attempted first- and second-degree murder, first- and second-degree assault and several other charges.

As I've said before, it's now a sign of the times, the way of the world, the sickies will be coming out of the woodwork. By way of their actions and the reactions of people like nic. Say hello to the new normal. For a very large majority of citizens, nothing shocks or disgusts anymore, now it's normal, and to some, even funny.

What are you talking about? "New normal"? "Sign of the times"??

I believe that this type of violence has been around since day 1, but finally, victims & witnesses are reporting it more, & domestic violence laws are finally in place. Hope he gets the time he deserves.
