Police Investigate Stabbing of Teen in Glen Burnie

The incident is still under investigation, but police saiy they don't believe it was a random act of violence.

 

A teen told police he was stabbed multiple times early Thursday morning after an altercation took place in a vehicle.

According to a press release, officers from the Northern District responded about 1:21 a.m. Thursday to the area of Warfield Drive near Flamingo Road in Glen Burnie for a report of a stabbing. 

Police said they spoke with the 18-year-old male victim, who said he received a ride from two men in the 5600 block of Ritchie Highway in Glen Burnie. The victim told police there was an altercation inside the vehicle, and he was stabbed multiple times in the upper extremity. The suspects fled the area in their vehicle, according to police.

The victim was reportedly transported to Maryland Shock Trauma in Baltimore for injuries that were not life-threatening.

Police said the incident remains under investigation, but it is not believed to be a random act of violence.
