Police Charge Man With Attempted Murder in Stabbing Incident

Police said the man stabbed an 18-year-old man during an argument Tuesday night. The victim's injuries were not life threatening.

Anne Arundel County police arrested a Glen Burnie man who allegedly stabbed an 18-year-old man during an argument on Tuesday night, police said.

Aaron Matthew Adams, 21, of the 1000 block of Thomas Road in Glen Burnie was charged with attempted second-degree murder, first- and second-degree assault and reckless endangerment.

According to a police press release, officers responded to the 7600 block of Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard at about 10:40 p.m. Tuesday for a reported stabbing.

Officers spoke with an 18-year-old man suffering from stab wounds to his upper body. Anne Arundel County paramedics took the man to the Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Through an investigation, officers determined that the victim and Adams were in a verbal argument when the incident escalated and Adams stabbed the victim before fleeing scene.

Officers were able to develop Adams as a suspect through further investigation and he was arrested at his home a short time later. Police said they recovered the knife used in the incident.
