Police Charge Glen Burnie Woman with Prescription Fraud

Police said the woman presented a stolen prescription to a pharmacist for oxycodone last month.

A Glen Burnie woman allegedly attempted to use a stolen prescription to purchase oxycodone from a local pharmacy last month, police said.

Christina Marie Rodgers, 30, of the 100 block of Oak Springs Lane in Glen Burnie was charged with numerous prescription fraud offenses and theft under $100.

According to a police press release, officers responded to a pharmacy located in the 300 block of Hospital Drive in Glen Burnie at about 11:45 a.m. on June 27 for a reported prescription fraud in progress.

Officers spoke with Rodgers and through investigation determined that she had presented a stolen prescription to the pharmacist for 60 tablets of oxycodone. Pharmacy personnel contacted police to report the incident.

Further investigation found that Rodgers possessed several other stolen prescriptions as well as six suspected oxycodone tablets—which police said she obtained using stolen prescriptions.

Police did not release a booking photo of Rodgers.
