Police: Avoid Westbound Route 100 After Tractor-Trailer Accident
Police issued an alert Friday afternoon urging motorists to avoid Maryland Route 100 at Oakwood Road.
UPDATE (2:12 p.m.)—Anne Arundel County police issued an alert Friday afternoon after a tractor-trailer accident on Maryland Route 100 westbound at Oakwood Road.
Police spokesman Justin Mulcahy said the call came in at about 1:35 p.m. Friday for an accident at Route 100 west and Oakwood Road where it appears a tractor-trailer overturned into the median.
Route 100 was closed due to the accident and remained closed as of 2:10 p.m.
"Motorists should find alternate routes if possible," Mulcahy said in an email. "The adult male driver of the tractor-trailer was taken to Shock Trauma with possible life-threatening injuries."

Avoid Maryland Rt. 100 Westbound at Quarterfield Road for the next hour due to an overturned tractor trailer.
