Police Arrest Philadelphia Woman on Prostitution Charges

Police arrested her during an undercover operation at a hotel in Linthicum on Monday.

 

Anne Arundel County police arrested a Philadelphia woman on prostitution and drug charges Monday morning in Linthicum.

Ashley E. Grumm, 25, of the 4600 block of Ashville Street in Philadelphia was charged with prostitution, assignation, setting up a house of prostitution and possession of marijuana. Assignation is defined as making an appointment or engagement for prostitution, according to nonprofit website ProCon.org.

According to a police press release, detectives from the Special Enforcement Section Vice Unit conducted an undercover operation at about 11:30 a.m. Monday targeting prostitution around the Linthicum area hotels.

Police initiated the investigation due to an online advertisement, police said.
