Patch Welcomes New Glen Burnie Editor

Brian Hooks makes the move from a Patch site in Howard County. Please join us in welcoming him!

While Brian Hooks is new to covering Anne Arundel County, he is not new to Maryland. Patch is pleased to announce that, as of Monday, Brian will be transferring from a site in Howard County to be the new local editor in Glen Burnie.

Brian is a top-notch reporter who launched Savage-Guilford Patch two years ago. He's originally from the Ocean City area and studied journalism at the University of Maryland at College Park. He's known for his videos, and getting crime and courts scoops by asking deeper questions, such as in this story about an FDA doctor accused of soliciting prostitution.

Patch appreciates all of the users who have contributed to the Glen Burnie site by adding events to the calendar, announcements and blogs—and hope you will continue to add them. Thanks especially to freelancer Jennifer Donatelli, who has written some great stories during the period there wasn't a local editor at the helm.

Please welcome Brian to Glen Burnie and feel free to reach out to him to introduce yourself or offer suggestions and story ideas as he gets to know the area. He can be reached at brian.hooks@patch.com.

Oh yes, go Terps! Huge basketball and football fan. I blame a lot of my hair loss on Greivis Vasquez...
