Glen Burnie Girls Host Old Mill in Game of the Week

The Lady Gophers look to continue their winning streak against the Lady Patriots Friday

In this week's featured matchup, Glen Burnie (3-8, 2-6 league), fighting its way through a tough county schedule, takes on Old Mill at home Jan. 21.

The Lady Gophers, after starting the season with six losses in league play, have won two in a row, defeating Severna Park and Northeast last week. Coming off of a winless season last year, Glen Burnie has already made considerable progress.

Senior guard Lynaie Ash-Lewtas, junior forward Mia Carr, junior center Brye'Anne Dozier, junior guard Bryona Oden, sophomore forward Diana DeGraw and junior forward Colleen White are the key players for the Lady Gophers.

Old Mill (6-7, 3-5 league) defeated a very good North County team in its last game, shutting down the Lady Knight's top scorer, Denver Clyde, in its seven-point win. The Lady Patriots are led by Natasha Riley and Imani Davidson.
