Fire Officials Investigate Linthicum Vehicle, Garage Fire

The Tuesday morning blaze was brought under control quickly.

Anne Arundel County fire investigators are looking into the cause of a Linthicum vehicle and garage fire that occurred Tuesday morning.

Firefighters responded to a vehicle fire at 11 Lake Front Dr. in Linthicum Heights shortly before 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday and found both a vehicle and detached garage on fire, according to fire spokesman Capt. James Rostek.

It took firefighters about 20 minutes to extinguish the blaze.

"It was placed under control quickly," Rostek said.

The vehicle suffered heavy damage, and there was some damage to the garage.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation, Rostek said.

If this was a Ford vehicle, then it could be as result of a recall issue with the brake system (cruise cancel switch)... see the attached link... http://www.switchfires.com/
