CONTEST: Is Your Mom the Best in Anne Arundel County?

Poets write about them. Strong men cry in their presence. We honor them each year with a special day punctuated by hearts and flowers, and perhaps even breakfast in bed.
Don't just settle for all the customary ways to celebrate how awesome your mom is. Instead, upload a photograph of her to this article and write a caption telling us what's so great about the moms of Anne Arundel County.
On May 11 at noon, we'll randomly pick a winner and call her the "Best Mom of Anne Arundel County."
Now that's a gift. But if that's not enough, we'll also award you a $50 gift certificate to spend any way you want on mom. (C'mon, dads, if your kids can't upload a photo of your wife, do it with them!)
The contest rules are attached.
Patch will also compile photos of moms from across the state for a "Moms of Maryland" photo gallery. We hope your mom will be included.

My Mom is absolutely the best in AA County. She is giving and selfless, she lives her life everyday with energy and a giving heart. She is a full time caregiver for our Dad and loves being with her 3 grandchildren, 3 kids and grand-dog. If there is someone who deserves this honor and reward, I can guarantee you that OUR MOM should be the winner--Denise Muncie

My MOM is the "bestest" in all the land. She is an active, beautiful woman spending all of her time caring for her own mother after the passing of her father, supporting my father's business (married 45+ years!) and tending to her new granddaughter so I can work and continue living in AA County! A resident of AA County for more than 35 years, she has served in her community and her church, never ceasing to be an inspiration to our family and friends with sound wisdom and a quick wit. She and I have a running joke on who loves who more.... so, this is my next installment: "Love you MORE, Mom!" -- Heather Davis Epkins

My mom is truly amazing! She gives and gives of herself to everyone on the Broadneck peninsula. I'm so blessed to have such an amazing mentor and friend. She serves in her church and gives all of her time to the local community. It is hard to go anywhere in the Broadneck area without seeing someone she knows and has helped in their journey. I love you mom!

Our mom is the best mom on the planet.
She volunteers so much for us at our schools, sports, and more. She is the team mom for my softball team and was the costume director for Rock n' Roll Revival (my brother was in the show). She is a master gardener and teaches gardening lessons at London Town. She goes to church with us every sunday and volunteers as the director of the sunday school. You might think that she never has time for us but she can always find time for our family. Those are some reasons why my mom is the best.
I don't think that anyone but my mom can do all this without hesitation. I am honestly blessed to have such a wonderful, fantastic, amazing, extrordinairy mom in the universe.
