An adult, who is believed to be a relative of the boy, also was taken to Johns Hopkins with minor injuries.

A 4-year-old boy and an adult relative were taken to the Johns Hopkins Children's Center on Tuesday evening after a crash, fire officials said.

Anne Arundel County Fire Department personnel responded at about 6 p.m. Tuesday to a reported crash near Dorsey Road and Central Avenue, said Capt. James Rostek.

Medics transported a 4-year-old boy to Johns Hopkins with injuries that were not life-threatening. They also transported an adult, believed to be a relative, to Hopkins with minor injures.

Rostek said he did not have the age or gender of the adult injured in the accident.
