Monro Helps "Wipe Out" Breast Cancer

Every driver on the road needs wiper blades, so why not purchase ones that support a cause that touches so many? This thought was exactly what inspired Monro Muffler Brake & Service to stock AutoTex Pink Wiper blades in select Maryland stores for October’s National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, including its 6800 Ritchie Highway, Glen Burnie, location.

When Monro heard about AutoTex Pink, the company was thrilled to find a product that enables customers to show their support for breast cancer research and patient care. AutoTex Pink blades are premium, OEM quality blades that fit over 99 percent of current applications. These quality windshield wiper blades come in a traditional black frame with a small pink ribbon to denote the cause. A portion of the proceeds from each sale is donated by AutoTex Pink to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

In business for 50 years, Monro knows the value of investing in community. That is why the auto service chain has decided to make an additional contribution to the Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center at Johns Hopkins. Monro will donate 10 percent of every sale of AutoTex Pink at participating locations to the hospital that offers a multidisciplinary breast care program, offering a full spectrum of clinical and support services, from screening and diagnosis to treatment and counseling.
