Glen Burnie High School is raising money for the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life.

The team, called  “Gophers for Life,” will participate in the event on May 20-21 at Old Mill High School. 

Donations can be made online. Visit the Relay for Life West County website, go to "top teams," scroll down to the "Gophers for Life" team and click "donate now" or "join team." The group hopes to raise $1,500. 

Other donations can be brought to Glen Burnie High School care of Ms. Knight, the bookkeeper. 

Assistant principal Elena J. Thomas is the group's team captain, and teachers Amber Grimes and Ann Vig are co-captains.
