BankAnnapolis helped collect 795 food items to donate in support of Food Link in its Second Annual Summer Food Drive.
From May 1 through June 30, all six of the Anne Arundel County branches collected canned goods and other non-perishable food items that added up to the bank's largest donation to date.
"The donation from BankAnnapolis could not have come at a better time for Food Link," said Cathy Holstrom-Bird, Executive Director of The Food Link. "Our food pantry was very low after the recent storm, so we are eternally grateful to BankAnnapolis and their customers for their generosity. This is a true case of neighbors helping neighbors, which is a perfect reflection of Food Link."
Marketing Director of BankAnnapolis, Lori Mueller was equally pleased with the results of the food drive.
“We are so grateful to our employees and customers for
their support of our Second Annual Summer Food Drive. This is a time of great need, particularly for child friendly food as families struggle through the summer months when kids are out of school," Mueller said. "We are thrilled to be able to donate this food to Food Link.”
